Cycling tracks
Cycling tracks, established on the left and right riverbank of the Wisła river, are a compliment of cycling routes and an alternative form of cycling tourism. The paths begin at the Stud Farm in Ochaby and finish on the border of the commune, in Harbutowice. Riding south along the path, you can reach Ustroń, and then the town of Wisła, or riding north – the town of Strumień.
The paths on the right bank are 8 940 m long. Their width is between 2,5 - 3 m. The surface of the path is made of broken stones.
The paths on the left bank are 9 302 m long, but unfortunately it is not possible to ride all the way long. Because of the unfavourable form of the area (the riverbank come too close to the road) the path in not established on 400 m. Despite there are some places where you turn into and out of the road DK - 81(Skocz?w - Katowice). The advantage of the path on the left bank is a fragment from a bridge over Bielska Street to Harbutowice. It is led along park paths and then through a picturesque scenery of the Beskidy.
In the near future it is planned to change the surface of the path in order to make the riding more comfortable.
Establishing safe routes, where it is pleasant to ride on, is another form of inviting those who prefer active way of spending free time. The offer is especially attractive for parents with children. In the winter the paths may be used for walking on skis.
The paths ane not only thought for tourists, but are also used by the inhabitants of the region. They are connected to the neighbouring communes which let them not only be the way of getting to know the good points of the nature and recreation but also create a transport route.
