Fishing Club History of the Fishing Club
It was founded in Skocz?w over 25 years ago and it belongs to Polish Fishing Association.
Its activity over the years results in almost 500 members from the whole commune. Many members are perfect fishers which enabled them to appoint a Polish representative on European and World Championships. Such a large group and their achievements are a real motivation for the Head of the Club, who together with the commune authorities helps to improve the sport and gain more and more popularity. The aims of the Club
Their intention is to spread the knowledge of fishing and create a new view on this sport. Fishing, in fact, is not only catching remarkable creatures from water, or trips with a fishing rod and the desire to catch as many as possible, but mainly it is resting, a friendly contact with nature, caring about clear water and environment as well as proper behaviour and ethics. Nowadays, in the highly urbanized world there is only a little space for forests, clear water and unpolluted nature. In the commune of Skocz?w, these dangers appear only on a small scale thanks to the character of this area: rich flora, many ponds, plough lands, forests and meadows. The “queen” of the Polish rivers goes through the commune and splendid trouts may be caught there.  Our water reservoirs
The Fishing Club in Skocz?w has got its own ponds of breeding ( in the area of G?rny B?r) where carp has been bred for many years. It is possible to catch 8 - 10 tons of the fish which then go to closed fisheries in Ochaby and Kiczyce. Spite of that, every year new species are bought like eel, pikes, zander or tenches in order to improve the fisheries. Water reservoirs in Ochaby and Kiczyce appeared as a result of the end of gravel mining in that area. Today a few sport and fishing centres (with possibilities to accommodate and fish) invite not only fishing lovers but whole families. Everybody, who enjoys calmness and clean environment, will be fascinated with the ponds and their surroundings full of paths and inlets which seem to be wild and approachable. In the fisheries in Ochaby and Kiczyce we should obey the fishing rules established by the board of the Club. The Club can offer the waters to fishers from the whole Poland or from abroad. The price for a day (only from April to October) is 25 zlotys. Special cards (giving you right to fish) are available at the head of the waters reservoirs in Ochaby - tel.: (033) 853 58 69.
